The March 30 Movement Demands Immediate Arrest and Prosecution of COGAT Representatives
Rotterdam, June 16, 2024 - The March 30 Movement has formally called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of representatives from COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories), a unit within the Israeli Ministry of Defense. This call to action follows numerous documented violations of international law by COGAT, including the use of starvation as a weapon of war against Gaza civilians. Under directives from Israeli officials such as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, these actions have led to widespread suffering and death among Palestinians.
Despite these grave allegations, representatives from COGAT have been invited to speak before the Dutch Parliament on Wednesday, where they are expected to spread genocidal propaganda. The March 30 Movement vehemently condemns this invitation and demands their immediate arrest. Allowing such individuals to disseminate dangerous narratives undermines justice and emboldens human rights violators.
“Inviting these individuals to speak is an outrageous endorsement of their actions,” said Dyab Abou Jahjah, President of the March 30 Movement. “We demand their immediate arrest and prosecution for the heinous crimes committed against the Palestinian people. Justice must prevail, and impunity must end.”
Whether Dutch authorities act on this demand or not, the complaint filed by the March 30 Movement will serve as a historical record for future genocide and complicity charges. The movement remains steadfast in its mission to expose and challenge attempts to justify or downplay these severe actions. Justice must prevail, and impunity must end.
The international community is urged to support these efforts and maintain their condemnation of human rights violations. The pursuit of justice is essential for preserving human dignity and the rule of law.
